Dedicated to everyone, as a small gesture of simplicity in the chaos.

A self-employed friend with an overly demanding schedule needed a PO Box he could actually get to at the end of the day without fighting the clock. Work always runs long, the lobby closes at five, and his mail kept waiting behind a locked door.

So he asked: Which Post Office near me has late or all-night access? Nobody could tell him — not the counter, not the people who worked there, and searching the website meant looking for each location, One. Location. At. A. Time… I knew the answer had to be out there.

After a little digging, searching, and maybe a little pleading… I decided that sometimes the best way to get what you need is to make it yourself. A place you could find: every Post Office, every service, every hour of every lobby, all searchable the way someone would expect — open now, open late, open for me.

In the end, he found his new PO Box. The best part? It was an easy stop on his commute home from work.
